The Ottawa CLRA was proud to present a $101,000 cheque to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation at its recent October 21st members’ meeting.
Accepting the cheque are Margot Ault, Manager of Philanthropy and Jonelle Istead, Associate VP of Philanthropy. On the left is Ottawa CLRA General Manager John DeVries and on the right Chair of the Board of Directors Bruce Thomas, President of RECL.
The smiling faces reflect the fact that Chairman Bruce explained that the odd amount of $101,000 was to beat the $100,000 contribution made by the Ottawa Construction Association earlier in the year. The bit of gamemanship worked as the OCA subsequently contributed an additional $50,000 for a total of $150,000.
The challenging $500 million fundraising goal of TOH is slowly being realized as Jonelle noted in her remarks they have passed the $400 million point. Every contribution counts and the Ottawa CLRA is proud to be a contributor to the building of our new state-of-the-art health care facility and academic research centre.
